The CO2 Solutions Coalition (CSC), a CO2-dedicated lobbying arm of the US Compressed Gas Association (CGA) that advocates for the continued supply of critical carbon dioxide in the US, is making some headway, just over a year on from its formation.
The progress update was delivered by Rich Gottwald, President and CEO of the CGA, to delegates attending gasworld’s North American CO2 Summit 2024 in Nashville last week, in his keynote address.
The CGA is a gas safety organisation which branched out into advocacy after the Covid-19 pandemic. Events from 2020 onwards also served to expose the gap in political knowledge related to a critical industry like CO2 supply.
Gottwald said advocacy was a “new focus” for the CGA but a crucial one.
