CO2 Solutions and Hatch team up in carbon capture collaboration agreement

CO₂ Solutions Inc. has teamed up with global engineering firm Hatch Ltd. to deliver carbon capture systems using the strengths of both corporations.

Under the terms of the agreement, CO₂ Solutions will license its proprietary, environmentally benign, enzymatic technology into large industrial environments. Within these projects, Hatch will provide engineering and project delivery expertise.

In conjunction with this agreement, both parties will work together on the $15m Valorisation Carbone Québec (VCQ) project, which aims to demonstrate carbon dioxide (CO₂) capture and beneficial reuse on a large-scale level in an industrial facility. The scheme will also support the development of second generation reuse applications.

VCQ will centre on CO₂ Solutions’ enzymatic capture technology and will draw on the most promising reuse applications and development efforts worldwide.
