The trade body for the Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (CCUS) industry in the UK, the Carbon Capture and Storage Associate (CCSA), has welcomed the Climate Change Committee’s Progress Report to Parliament 2021.
With an emphasis on global Net Zero emissions, the report highlights CCUS, Greenhouse Gas Removals and Hydrogen as critical initiatives.
The report also recommends progress on CCUS within different sectors, including CCUS transport and storage, gas power stations and industry.
Luke Warren, Chief Executive of the CCSA, commented, “The message from the Climate Change Committee is clear – we need to be moving further and faster on carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (CCUS).”
