Chart Industries’ Teddy 2 facility in Thedore, Alabama, will be completed in March.
Chart confirmed the manufacturing site – so-called because it’s Chart’s second facility in Theodore – will come online at the end of the first quarter during today’s fourth quarter and full year earnings call (click here for details).
The company claims it is the only shop of its kind in the world, servicing rail, marine and space customers.
The new plant is expected to fabricate the largest shop-built cryogenic tanks ever manufactured globally, around 70% larger than the previous largest. The first produces bulk tanks and rail cars.
