Chart Ferox, a.s. has been awarded a contract by Apache North Sea to provide the liquid nitrogen injection facility for the Scottish Area Gas Evacuation (SAGE) plant located near St. Fergus in Scotland.
The plant, designated as a ‘top tier’ Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH) asset, processes feed gas from the Beryl, Britannia, and Atlantic and Cromarty pipeline systems.
Chart’s liquid nitrogen injection facility is a major part of the complete gas treatment system to reduce pipeline pressure, extract the high value natural gas liquids, and condition the gas to meet National Grid pipeline specifications.
Manufacture of the liquid nitrogen Injection package is already underway at Chart Ferox’s principal facility in Decin, Czech Republic, and is scheduled for delivery during first quarter 2015.
