Chart Industries has joined forces with hydrogen infrastructure firm GenH2 to jointly market and distribute small-scale hydrogen liquefaction technologies.
Under the terms of the deal, GenH2 will incorporate Chart equipment into its 1,000/kg a day liquefaction system, inclusive of storage, heat exchangers and other key components. The GenH2 system was developed to be deployed at a point of demand to provide users with flexibility and control over their energy source.
Jill Evanko, CEO of Chart, said the collaboration will help further hydrogen liquefaction options of all scales for a variety of applications. Demand for distributed hydrogen has grown significantly in recent years, but the supply of liquid hydrogen still remains low or non-existent in some geographies.
Looking to serve these under-represented geographies, Greg Gosnell, President and CEO of GenH2, said the partnership will accelerate market expansion plans into new territories.
