“LNG continued to play a crucial role in the global energy transition,” Jill Evanko, President and CEO of Chart Industries, told gasworld when she reflected on 2024 recently. “In 2024, we’ve observed continued demand in energy globally.”
The LNG market has had to adapt as 2024 generated some headwinds. Throughout the challenges, however, Chart has continued to sign contracts and form partnerships in the LNG space, which have bolstered its backlog.
One notable LNG contract secured by Chart in 2024 was awarded for the Rovuma LNG Project in Mozambique, operated by a joint venture between ExxonMobil, Eni, and China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC).
