Carburos Metálicos, a Spanish subsidiary of the multinational Air Products, has taken part in the first agri-food technology conference organised by the University of Valencia’s Higher Technical School of Agronomic Engineering and the Natural Environment.
Carburos Metálicos, along with 200 professionals from public administrations, associations and companies involved in the agri-food sector and related industries, attended the conference.
Carburos Metálicos addressed different issues that involve the entire agrifood chain, making special reference to trends and technological innovations in the sector.
Dr. Sonia Guri, head of Metal Carbides Agrifood and Water Treatment Group R&D department, took part in the round table ‘Sustainability in the production and distribution of food’. In her presentation, she informed the audience of how Carburos Metálicos’ innovative solutions can help assist with food waste. For example, she explained how Carburos Metálicos’ Freshline® Superfresh technology allows better management of stocks by using food gases to prevent the development of insects in stored food.
