Hydrogen-powered mobility specialist Carburos Metálicos has started up a new laboratory to analyse the quality of hydrogen used to power fuel cells (H2) in the city of Tarragona in Spain.
Designed to enable the verification of the demanding quality standards required by hydrogen for mobility, the facility will be located at the company’s plant in La Pobla de Mafumet.
When used in fuel cells, hydrogen must comply with strict ISO standards, which requires periodic analytical methods that guarantee the safety of the gas.
According to the company, its laboratory and quality control team selected the suitable analysers and its procedure after months of testing.
