US-based direct air capture (DAC) specialist CarbonCapture has successfully completed a $80m Series A financing round to further technology development and support early installations.
The financing came from several investors, including Amazon’s Climate Pledge Fund, Aramco Ventures, and Siemens Financial Services, and was led by Prime Movers Lab, an investor in scientific start-ups.
At the time of writing, CarbonCapture has pre-sold over $26m in carbon removal credits to several global firms, including Microsoft, the Boston Consulting Group, Meta, Shopify, and McKinsey & Company.
