Norway-based carbon capture technology provider Capsol Technologies (Capsol) has reported an accelerating demand growth for carbon capture technologies in its second quarter (Q2) results for 2023.
According to the company, commercial traction for its portfolio of carbon capture and storage (CCS) technologies continued to accelerate as it saw its sales pipeline grow by around 30% in terms of million tonnes of CO2.
This growth can also be attributed to several key milestones reached by the company during Q2. This includes the awarding of four new paid engineering studies and a fourth CapsolGo demonstration campaign across target industries, 135+ active leads totalling more than 42m tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) and a focus on increasing engineering capacity in hydrogen 2023 through hires, partnerships and streamlining its delivery model.
The company also expanded its reach in the UK, Europe’s second largest emitter, and took further steps to advance customer and partner dialogues to establish the company as a ‘leading’ player in North America.
