Compression specialist Burckhardt Compression (Burckhardt) has signed an agreement with hydrogen mobility expert Hydrogen-Refueling-Solutions (HRS), formerly TSM, to collaborate on various hydrogen mobility projects.
Announced yesterday (15th March), the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will see the two companies joining forces to develop low-carbon transport initiatives, namely the development of high-capacity hydrogen refuelling stations.
The partnership will extend to providing hydrogen solutions for heavy-duty mobility such as buses, trucks and port traffic, light-utility vehicles, in addition to examining the use of hydrogen for boats, trains and planes.
Calling HRS a ‘pioneer’ of the European fuel station market, Fabrice Billard, designated CEO (as of 1st April), Burckhardt, said, “With this partnership, we aim to contribute to the energy transition with reliable and economical compression solutions to scale up the hydrogen infrastructure.”
