Swiss gas compression solutions company Burckhardt Compression has acquired The Japan Steel Works’ global compressor business, strengthening its market presence in Japan.
Headquartered in Tokyo, The Japan Steel Works generated overall sales of CHF 1.9bn in 2018.
Approximately 1-2% of the overall sales is estimated to be generated in the compressor business.
Burckhardt Compression (Japan), headquartered in Yokohama, will assume responsibility for the local customer relationship management.
