B&R Compliance Associates LLC has announced the release of a major update to its Healthcare Installation (HCI) Program. This update incorporates the new changes in the 2012 edition of NFPA 99 and the significant revisions to 2010 edition of NFPA 55.
“This update to our program reflects one of the most significant revisions NFPA has ever made to the Health Care Facility Code”, said Bob Sutter, Vice President of B&R. “It has been almost 7 years since the last NFPA 99 update. Because of both the number and significance of many of the revisions in the 2012 version of NFPA 99 they missed a whole revision cycle”.
Sutter went on to say, “Our 2012 program revision has a new module covering inspection requirements for Homecare vans. This gives our customers the tools to comply with CGA P-2.6, which is something they were starting to ask for”, said Sutter.
In addition to providing customers with new and revised procedures and forms for their HCI manuals, B&R will be conducting a series of update training seminars to fully familiarize its customers with all the recent changes to NFPA and how this affects the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of Hospital Bulk Medical Gas Systems. The company’s training program also has a new module for 2012. Based on customer feedback, the company says it has added a program to teach technicians how to better manage customer interactions, which has been well received.
