BOC South Pacific has partnered with EngineeringAid Australia (EAA) to help support and grow indigenous students’ education.
EAA is a volunteer run, non-profit organisation which focuses on encouraging Indigenous students entering years 10, 11 and 12 to consider tertiary studies and a possible career in engineering and science.
For more than 20 years, EAA has conducted its Indigenous Australian Engineering Schools (IAES), a two week-long schools’ program – one in Sydney hosted by Sydney University and another in Perth hosted by Curtin University, where approximately 20 Indigenous students from around Australia attend each program at no cost to themselves.
As a Principal Partner, during the each IAES, BOC will be able to showcase the diversity of roles and experiences in the world of engineering through site tours and talks about engineering in the real world and career opportunities.
