In response to growing industry demand BOC Refrigerants can now offer customers an ammonia recovery service.
Previously ammonia users were required to either store excess ammonia themselves or source their own methods of disposal. However, under the new system UK plants that leak, or under perform, could be visited by BOC’s nationwide ammonia busting recovery team.
The Environment Agency recently granted the group a licence to recover and store ammonia at its Immingham facility, and Logan Colbeck, product manager believes this is a growing market saying, $quot;Over the next four to five years we expect to see significant interest in ammonia as an alternative coolant.$quot;
