BOC India reported its six months’ result today in Kolkata, India.
Recording a profit before tax and extraordinary items of Rs. 2733 lakhs in the half year ended 30 September 05 BOC India’s profit increased by 91 per cent compared to the corresponding period in the previous year.
Strong performance by the project engineering business and improved margins in the gases business, backed by substantial reduction in interest cost to Rs 153 Lakhs for the half year compared to Rs 262 Lakhs in the same period previous year has helped BOC India register yet another strong performance.
The total profit before taxes at Rs 7396 lakhs for the period, increased by over 400 per cent compared to corresponding period of the last year including profit from sale of the closed Bangalore unit.
