The Supervisory Board of Linde AG has appointed Thomas Blades as new member of the Executive Board. Blades succeeds J Kent Masters, who stepped down from the Linde AG Executive Board on Friday, 30th September.
According to a press statement issued by the global industrial gas group, Blades will assume his position by 1st April 2012 at the latest.
Blades’ most recent role was CEO of the Oil & Gas Division in Siemens AG’S Energy Sector. An electrical engineer and British national, Blades has a wealth of international experience in the oil and gases business.
Like his predecessor, Blades will assume responsibility for the group’s gases business in North and South America, as well as for liquefied gases, cylinder gas business and global healthcare operations.
