The Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy has published a new report which identifies and assesses a range of high-level deployment options for industrial carbon capture, usage and storage (CCUS) technology.
Released today, the report focuses on the deployment of such technologies in non-clustered ‘dispersed’ sites which are isolated from potential carbon dioxide transport infrastructure in the UK.
Analysis from the report suggests that there are currently 36 ‘dispersed’ industrial sites in the UK that could be potentially suitable for CCS.
