The British Compressed Gases Association (BCGA) has published new guidance on the use of atmospheric monitoring equipment at authorised testing facilities.
An authorised testing facility (ATF) tests heavy goods vehicles (HGVs), trailers and public service vehicles, like buses, that may contain dangerous goods to ensure they are roadworthy and meet safety and environmental standards.
The Operator of each ATF is required to provide suitable safety equipment, for example, for atmospheric monitoring.
The national trade body has produced a Position Paper to discuss with the authorities its belief that the ATF Operator is responsible for providing appropriate safety equipment.
