Waste processing specialist Attero will launch the new ‘FirstBio2Shipping’ installation at its facility in Wilp-Achterhoek, the Netherlands, on Wednesday, September 11th 2024.
To be opened by Queen Máxima of the Netherlands, the project transforms biogas, produced during the fermentation of vegetable, fruit, and garden waste, into BioLNG (liquefied natural gas), a liquid biofuel.
The BioLNG is then utilised as a clean energy source for ships and trucks, offering a sustainable alternative to conventional fuels.
