Atlas Copco is building a new air and gas compressor systems manufacturing site in Pune, India.
Set to be operational in Q2 2024, the new facility will feature a 25,000m2 manufacturing plant and office building. Atlas Copco is investing around ₹1,400 ($17,000) in the site.
Vagner Rego, President of Atlas Copco’s Compressor Technique business, said the investment will cater to the growing demand of the Indian and export markets.
He added, “This expansion project is part of our strategy to remain first in mind, first in choice for our customers. It will enable us to reach new customers and markets and improve lead times.”
