Atlas Copco to acquire Mexican vacuum distributor

Atlas Copco has today (4th April) announced the signing of a deal to acquire the vacuum-related assets and the brand of Mexican Montajes Electromecánicos e Ingeniería (MEISA).

Based in Queretaro and Monterrey, Mexico, MEISA has around 45 employees and provides vacuum pumps and related services to industrial customers in the country.

Geert Follens, President of Atlas Copco’s Vacuum Technique Business Area, said, “Through this acquisition, we now create the opportunity to directly serve our customers and further strengthen our market presence in the country.”

Once acquired, MEISA will become part of Atlas Copco’s Vacuum Technique Business Area. The purchase is expected to close during the second quarter of 2024.
