Atlas Copco has said it will acquire Arpuma regel- und fördertechnische Geräte GmbH (Arpuma), a specialist in vacuum systems and solutions for the chemical and pharmaceutical industry.
Confirming the news on Monday (31st May, Atlas Copco said the acquired business will operationally become part of the Industrial Vacuum Division within the Vacuum Technique Business Area.
Based in Krepen, near Cologne in Germany, Arpuma has 14 employees which serve a customer base in the country, some of which are big chemical process customers. The company’s systems are installed globally.
Commenting on the acquisition, Geert Follens, Business Area President Vacuum Technique at Atlas Copco, said, “This acquisition will enable us to grow our systems and solutions business within the chemical and pharmaceutical industry.”
