Atlas Copco has today (4th December) announced its intention to acquire Kracht GmbH (Kracht), a technology manufacturer of external gear pumps, fluid measurement, valves, hydraulic drives, and dosing systems.
Headquartered in Werdhol, Germany, Kracht has subsidiaries in the US, China, and Hungary and approximately 440 employees. In 2022, Kracht had revenues of approximately €72m.
Andrew Walker, President of Atlas Copco’s Power Technique business area, said, “Last year, we acquired LEWA and Wangen, and we are now further expanding our portfolio within positive displacement pumps with additional technologies.”
Walker continued, “The industrial pump segment has been identified as a strategic fit for the group. This acquisition will be a further step for us within this segment, which plays a crucial role within many industries.”
