Atlas Copco has acquired Germany-based VisionTools Bildanalyse Systeme GmbH (VisionTools), in a move that will strengthen its smart integrated assembly offering.
Announced today (18th Nov), the transaction will see VisionTools become part of Atlas Copco’s motor vehicle industry tools and assembly systems division within the Industrial Technique business area.
VisionTools is headquartered in Waghäusel and develops and sells smart, integrated quality control solutions primarily for the automotive industry. The company also installs and adapts systems.
Henrik Elmin, President of Atlas Copco’s Industrial Technique business area, said, “With this acquisition, we further create value for our customers by enhancing our smart integrated assembly offering to automotive industry.”
In 2023, VisionTools had revenues to around €14m. The purchase price was not disclosed.
