Atlas Copco has acquired Extend3D GmbH, a developer of augmented reality worker guidance for industry customers using laser and video projection.
Based in Munich, Germany, Extend3D has 16 employees and generated revenues of around €3m in 2022. The company supports automotive, large transportation, aerospace, and general industry with its augmented reality systems.
Henrik Elmin, Business Area President of Atlas Copco’s Industrial Technique business area, said the acquisition will enhance the company’s offering in process and quality control.
Now acquired, Extend3D will become part of the Motor Vehicle Industry Division within the Industrial Technique business area.
