Airgas will exhibit and demonstrate award-winning specialty gas products and technology and introduce new resource guides at the Pittsburgh Conference on Analytical Chemistry and Applied Spectroscopy (PITTCON) at Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans.
“Our customers are always striving to optimise their results and find efficiencies where possible, including streamlining their gas usage,” said Bill Russo, Airgas’ Vice President – Specialty Gases. “The Airgas technologies on display at PITTCON, as well as our newest resource guides, support customers’ goals of improving processes, obtaining consistency and quality, and identifying savings opportunities whenever possible.”
Among the products on display will be the new Certificate of Analysis QR Code and Airgas SRVS® App. The product, recently awarded a Golden Gas Award from Gases & Instrumentation International magazine, saves time, reduces errors, and supports regulatory compliance by putting analytical cylinder information in the palm of customers’ hands. Cylinder data is stored on QR Codes that are placed on Certificates of Analysis and cylinder labels. The codes are scanned through the Airgas SRVS App, accessing the data to be viewed and managed also through the app, eliminating the need to re-enter the information into various systems and databases.
“We are always looking to develop new technologies to streamline processes for our customers,” said Frank Kandl, Director of Business Development – Airgas Specialty Gas Equipment. “Our new award-winning QR Code and SRVS system saves time and eliminates data-entry errors, so customers can focus on the task at hand.”
