Since 2008, Airgas has donated $1m in support of Operation Homefront, a non-profit organisation providing military families with programmes that offer relief, resiliency and recurring support during difficult periods.
The Air Liquide company yesterday celebrated a decade of working closely with the association and pledged to continue its support. In addition, thousands of Airgas associates across the US were involved in local activities and fundraisers to support Operation Homefront, including donation drives, golf and bowling tournaments, 5K walks and raffles.
Airgas has supported veterans and military families throughout the company’s history. The company continues to actively recruit employees with military experience, and to incorporate policies and provide tools to support employees currently in the service.
Since 2008, Airgas has hired more than 1,000 veterans and has offered its “Welding 101” training programme free to veterans.
