Airgas has announced that it will be sending all Airgas stockholders a letter regarding the forthcoming Annual Meeting of Stockholders, scheduled for 15th September. Within which, the company will urge stockholders to ‘vote white’ and support all Airgas nominees.
The letter reiterates Airgas’ recommendation that stockholders vote for the Board’s three director nominees. In particular the dispatch emphasised that stockholders do so by voting the white proxy card by telephone, internet or in writing. Furthermore the Airgas Board also recommends that stockholders vote against Air Product’s proposals to amend the Company’s By-Laws and disregard any Gold proxy cards issued from Air Products.
Airgas’ nominations are; W Thatcher Brown, Richard C III and Peter McCausland. The company also used the letter as an opportunity to emphasise its confidence in its ability to “deliver superior value to Airgas stockholders.” Similarly, Airgas remarked, “It’s all about value: We believe Air Products’ offer does not fairly compensate Airgas stockholders for their investment.”
