Japanese group Air Water has acquired UK-based M1 Engineering, a specialist in cryogenic distribution technology and development in atmospheric gases, specialty gases and LNG.
In the past five years Air Water has made significant investments in cryogenic equipment producers, having acquired Taylor-Wharton, TOMCO2 Systems, Cryogenic Vessels Alternative, Cryofin, CO2 Air, ACMS Corp and an 80% stake in Dohmeyer Cryogenics.
The acquisition of M1 will help Air Water grow in the microbulk, CO2 and atmospheric transport markets.
Eric Rottier, Chief Operating Officer of Air Water America and CEO of Taylor-Wharton and TOMCO2 Systems, said M1 is also strategically positioned to lead the build out of European hydrogen infrastructure that will be needed to boost fuel cell vehicle deployments.
