Ian Williamson, Vice Chair of the UK Hydrogen Association and Director at Air Products welcomed the European Commission’s green transport plan.
He commented, “The acknowledgement within the Commission’s strategy that hydrogen fuel cell vehicles are one of the “most promising options” in the creation of a low carbon transport infrastructure is very welcome and follows quickly on the heel of the UK Energy and Climate Change Select Committee’s call for the UK Government to invest further in hydrogen.$quot;
He continued, “Hydrogen battery hybrid vehicles will be key to creating a low carbon transport infrastructure throughout Europe because, unlike pure electric vehicles, they offer consumers the same range, speed and fuelling times of conventional vehicles.”
