It’s full steam ahead for the North Field East LNG project, with Air Products confirming that it will supply critical technology for what is believed to be the world’s largest project of its kind.
In a statement released last week (25th August), the industrial gas giant said it will deliver four end flash coil wound heat exchangers (CWHE) for the Qatar-based project.
Capable of producing 32 million tonnes of LNG per year, the $28bn venture is set to expand Qatar’s production capacity from 77 million tonnes per annum to 110 million tonnes per annum by 2025.
Once deployed, each end flash CWHE will be used with the four AP-X® LNG Process trains previously announced and already being built by Air Products for Chiyoda Corporation and Technip Energies, who are constructing the LNG process trains for QatarEnergy.
