Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. has announced plans to build and operate two nitrogen plants in the Bayan Lepas Free Industrial Zone and Batu Kawan Industrial Park in Penang, Malaysia.
The company has enjoyed a presence in Malaysia for over fifty years and plans to expand its pipeline network in response to customer demand. It has two cutting-edge Air Separation Units (ASUs) in the Prai Industrial Park and plans to start construction on a new nitrogen plant at the Batu Kawan Industrial Park, which will be integrated with its existing pipeline system.
Ramani Velu, the company’s Southeast Asia President, said, “Air Products has a long-standing presence in Malaysia with a leading position in the northern region.”
