Air Products will build what is believed to be Europe’s first commercial-scale hydrogen refuelling station with liquid hydrogen storage in Belgium.
The industrial gas giant will develop the multi-fuel hydrogen refuelling station in Belgium for Aers Energy België, a family-owned energy supplier.
Located on the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) Core Network in Zeebrugge, the station will serve heavy-duty trucks and have a capacity of over one tonne of hydrogen per day.
When the station is running at full capacity, it will save approximately 8-11 kilotonnes of CO2 equivalent per year by displacing diesel volume.
