Air Products’ occupational safety improvement has been recognised as ‘outstanding’ by the Compressed Gas Association (CGA).
The North American industrial gas company, Air Products, was presented with the Leonard Parker Pool Award in recognition of its safety performance.
The accolade is distributed annually to a participating CGS member that has recorded the greatest improvement in safety performance during the previous two years. Named in memory of the late Air Products Founder and Chairman, Leonard Parker Pool, the award is based upon the total recordable incedence rates as defined by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
Commenting on the award, Joe Pietrantonio, Vice President of Environment, Health, Safety & Quality and Chief Engineer at Air Products, said, “The legacy of our Founder Leonard Pool has gifted us a very strong safety culture.
