Air Products opens a new office in Abu Dhabi and in doing so creates a new legal entity, Air Products Gulf Gas LLC in the Middle East.
Simon Little, General Manager of Air Products Middle East, commented, “Alongside our existing businesses in the Middle East, Abu Dhabi is strategically important for Air Products. In recent years, we have quickly built a leadership position supplying gases, equipment and operations expertise into sectors such as GTL (gas to liquids), LNG (liquefied natural gas) and refining.$quot;
He continued, $quot;The opening of the new office to serve Abu Dhabi’s cylinder gas customers is an important step in our strategy to continue to grow our packaged gases business in the UAE.”
Air Products has enjoyed a long career serving customers in the Middle East, and currently operates a helium and cylinder gases facility, as well as a speciality gases centre in Jebel Ali Free Zone.
The new company office will be located in the city centre and shall enable the company’s packaged gas business to offer its range of equipment and technology to a wider customer base. The new legal entity was enabled through a joint venture between Air Products and The First Abu Dhabi Management Services LLC, in a respective ratio of 49% to 51%.
