Air Products, which recently opened a helium facility in Doe Canyon, Colorado, today held a grand opening at its new liquid nitrogen production facility in Odessa, Texas.
The Odessa facility, which has a 250 tpd capacity, gives the company a leadership position in supplying oilfield services customers in the Permian Basin and Mid-Continent regions of the US With the addition of this facility to Air Products’ robust supply network, the company has more liquid nitrogen plants serving the region than any other industrial gas company.
“The decision to build a new liquid nitrogen production facility here in Odessa was all about customer service and demonstrates our commitment to the oilfield services market,” said Marie Ffolkes, Vice President, Americas, for Industrial Gases at Air Products. “The Odessa facility strengthens Air Products’ existing nitrogen production and distribution network, enabling us to provide the oilfield services industry with a reliable, cost-effective, local supply. Our customers can count on Air Products to deliver product where they need it, when they need it.”
