Air Liquide Engineering & Construction will design and build a new air separation unit (ASU) in China as part of a new contract with Baosteel Group.
The French corporation has signed a new supply contract with Baosteel Zhanjiang Iron & Steel, a subsidiary of Baosteel Group – a large-scale enterprise designed to meet demand for iron and steel in the South China and Southeast Asia markets.
The ASU, with a capacity of 2,500 tonnes of oxygen per day, will supply oxygen, nitrogen and argon to Zhanjiang Steel for a landmark project in China’s iron and steel industry transformation.
The unit, located in Zhanjiang, Guangdong province, will come into operation in 2021.
