Air Liquide has strengthened its sector footing by signing over 10 new long-term contracts with photovoltaic industry leaders in China, Malaysia, Taiwan and Japan.
With the contracts, the Group will be a supplier of over 120 photovoltaic customers. Furthermore, Air Liquide will have an overall annual manufacturing capacity in excess of 13,000 MWp; equating to approximately half of all global production.

These recent contracts in Asia confirm the competitiveness of Air Liquide’s offer and its permanent alignment with customer’s cost reduction road maps. The photovoltaic activity is at the crossroads of Energy and the Environment and requires High Tech solutions, three growth drivers for the Air Liquide Group.”
In Yixing, Jiangsu Province, China, Air Liquide has recently signed a long-term contract with Guodian Solar, a subsidiary of the Guodian Group. The agreement ensures Air Liquide supply gases, equipment, precursors, installation and on-site services to the power group.
Also in China, Air Liquide has built upon its existing supply relationship with Suntec Power in Shanghai. Suntec Power, the globe’s largest crystalline Silicon cell manufacturer, will be provided with long-term nitrogen, equipment and on-site services. Meanwhile, in Kansai, Japan, Air Liquide has signed contracts to supply Silane gas to a leading manufacturer of high-efficiency Silicon Thin Film solar cells.
