Air Liquide is to expand its healthcare business in Japan with the announcement it has acquired Sogo Sangyo Kabushiki Kaisha (SSKK), a major Japanese player with a strong presense in the home healthcare and medical gases markets.
With this acquisition, Air Liquide strengthens its footprint in Japan both in the medical gases to hospitals, and in home healthcare business.
Well known for its medical staffs’ know-how, SSKK has more than 150 employees and generated revenue of approximately €27m ($31.7m) in 2016.
Air Liquide will continue growing the company with the support of the existing team, gasworld understands.
