Industrial gas giant Air Liquide has announced the sale of its Industrial Merchant business in Saudi Arabia, a divestment that complements the sale announced in April of its Industrial Merchant business in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bahrain to Air Products Group.
The business will be purchased by Abdullah Hashim Industrial Gases & Equipment Cp.Ltd. (AHG), Air Products’ Merchant Gas Joint Venture in Saudi Arabia and includes Air Liquide’s share in Air Liquide Khafra Industrial Gases (ALKIG).
gasworld understands that the divestment is immaterial with regards to the overall portfolio of Air Liquide in the Africa, Middle East and India region, and will see 228 employees integrating within the Abdullah Hashim organisation.
