Shanghai Chemical Industry Park Industrial Gases (SCIPIG), an Air Liquide subsidiary, has secured a $70m loan to support the development of two low-carbon hydrogen production units and related infrastructure.

Air Liquide first unveiled plans for the units in July 2022. And, once fully operational, the units will have a total hydrogen production capacity of around 70,000 Nm3/h.
Paired with the hydrogen production capabilities are carbon dioxide (CO2) capture and recycle units to contribute to the production of carbon monoxide (CO) for a total capacity of 28,000 Nm3/h.
