Air Liquide will build a new plant in Singapore and upgrade its existing plants in Malta, New York, as part of an over €50m investment to supply high-purity nitrogen to GlobalFoundaries.
The news was confirmed today (19th February) as part of a renewed partnership between Air Liquide and the US-based semiconductor manufacturing business.
Under the terms of the new deal, GlobalFoundaries will receive ultra-high purity gases from Air Liquide for the next 15 years.
The new Singapore plant is expected to support this supply when it’s brought on-stream in 2026.
