Air Liquide and Trillium Energy Solutions have joined forces to develop an extensive hydrogen retail network for the heavy-duty vehicle market in the US.
Under terms of a signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the partnership hopes to initially support the production of 150 tonnes-per-day. In turn, this will help refuel more than 2,000 heavy-duty vehicles.
It is hoped the effort will support truck manufacturers to accelerate zero-emissions vehicle deployments and help fleet operators transition to low-carbon alternatives.
Air Liquide holds more than 60 years of experience in the hydrogen value chain, and will combine its expertise with Trillium Energy Solutions, a member of the Love’s Family of Companies, an expert in sustainable fuelling infrastructure.
