Air Liquide has announced a 30% reduction objective in its carbon intensity by 2025 with the promotion of oxy-combustion, CO2 capture and usage, and carbon-free hydrogen.
The French company claims the goal is “the most ambitious objectives of its sector” as it strives to work with customers toward a sustainable industry and to contribute to the development of a low carbon society.
Air Liquide has committed to reduce its carbon intensity by 30% by 2025, based on its 2015 emission levels.
It aims to do this by: increasing by nearly 70% its purchases of renewable electricity; improving the energy efficiency of its production units, and reducing by 10% the carbon footprint of its products through the optimisation of both production and transportation.
