AGA Gas, an industrial and specialty gas supplier and Swedish subsidiary of The Linde Group, has relocated its entire compressor and auxiliary equipment in an extensive transfer project.
Its oxygen (O2) Labyrinth Piston Compressor (Laby®), which had been in operation at its Stenungsund site for 35 years, no longer met the needs required by the customer and became redundant. As a result, AGA moved the equipment to a site in Sandviken 500kms away where it was needed to help revive an old air separation plant.
Burckhardt Compression, original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the Laby Compressor, was selected to help facilitate the transfer due to its “excellent reputation for precision and quality,” said AGA Gas Project Leader Martin Welin-Berger.
