Thermal management solutions specialist Advanced Cooling Technologies has been awarded a $1m cryogenic cold wall order from Hamilton Storage for its biological sample storage freezers.
Hamilton Storage placed the order as part of its ongoing cold plate programme, which supports the manufacturing of the freezers, which are used to store specimens at -80°C, maintaining consistent temperatures for biological samples.
Most biological specimens must be frozen with liquid nitrogen. This is because the samples are extremely delicate and need to be stored at the right temperature to ensure integrity and longevity.
With the provided cold walls, the specimens will remain close to target temperatures throughout their lifecycle within the system.
