As the industrial gas sector continues to evolve, so too does the innovation of its key players. ABC Compressors, a global leader in compression technology, is making waves with its newly established Bio Business Unit. This development was unveiled during a discussion with Alex Cuesta, Sales Area Manager at ABC Compressors, as part of gasworld’s festive ‘Fireside Chats’ series.
Cuesta shared insights into the company’s milestones of 2024 and the promising future of biogas and biomethane in Europe and beyond. “This year, this is one of the news that we have. We started a new business unit where I am working. It’s called the Bio Business Unit. And in that business unit, we handle CO2, biogas, and biomethane compressors,” Cuesta explained. “Mainly all the compressors that are related with the biogas plants.”
The new business unit also introduced a standardised compressor range for biogas and biomethane. “This year we released the third standard range for biogas and biomethane. And we took the CO2 that was already done, and we have biomethane and biogas standard ranges and the CO2 standard ranges both together in this business unit,” he said. The standardised solutions aim to make these technologies more accessible and efficient for industrial gas applications.
