The significance of the Middle East as a supplier of helium in the future is well versed, less prominent is the region’s consumption of this gas. News of a contract renewal in Turkey, however, highlights the growth in demand from the country’s healthcare sector.
Siemens and Linde have announced the decision to continue their 17-year cooperation for liquid helium supply, renewing their contract at a signature ceremony on 30th December 2011.
The cooperation covers the fulfillment of gas and liquid helium requirements for the current and future Siemens Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) devices in Turkey will continue with the renewed contract between Linde and Siemens.
